This year, the Center for Photographic Art Juried Members exhibition was held in person. The first IRL (in real life) event since the pandemic. My photograph, “Snow Bay #8 v3” has been chosen for the online gallery. Kathryn and I made our way to the Carmel opening and met with friends old and new. The gallery was very crowded, and Kathryn and I were still nervous about Covid. So strange to be at an event fully masked and anxious. The evening was bright and fun, and I met Crista Dix and Anne Jastrab in person. Crista asked the show’s artists to sign the show catalog, and I wrote something very tame and signed my name, which I now regret. My go-to is “San Dimas High School football rules!” Next time I get the chance I’ll gather the courage to write it out for a VIP.

Crista Dix, selected 45 images for the gallery exhibition from nearly 2,100 entries submitted by photographers throughout the United States and abroad. 45 additional juror selections are also included in a special online gallery. All selected gallery and online images are published in the 2022 Members’ Juried Exhibition catalog. Congratulations to all the artists!
